Color me happy!

Theme of the week: color.

Healing times two.

These are pictures of a chapel in a hospital in the 'city' where I live. It's really pretty and, once inside, difficult to believe it's in a hospital. The hospital was originally staffed mostly by nuns. They still have some working there but it's not like the good old days.

This is me playing around with shutter speeds. There wasn't anything to steady on so it's a bit blurry. Please don't give me a thumbs down just for that.

This is the place.

Churches - U - T style.

Now, let us pray.

Rome
Affectionately known as the "Snow Church". If I remember the story right, the Virgin Mary appeared to a priest and said that if it snowed on this certain day in August, he was to build a church in honor of her. It snowed, and this is the church he built. Or the back of it, anyway.

Florence
The Duomo. 642 steps to the top. Climbed every single one.

Munich
I don't know the name of this particular church, but inside, there was a picture of the Pope and my friend, Emily, made me take a picture of her beside it. Weird, I know.

Paris
I looked for the Hunchback, but he must have been off with Esmeralda.

Salt Lake City
This was taken as I was randomly out taking photos a couple of years ago. Did you know I have never been inside the Catherdal of the Madeline? I know. Shocks me too.

Copperton
This church reminds me of the churches you'd see on shows like Little House on the Prairie.

A few from last summer.

Mondsee, Austria

And the inside...which is pink!

It's theme time!

The theme for this week is churches.

This post is brought to you by the number 3.

A parking space (not mine).

Two sets of three.

That counts, right?

It looks like a face.

Look up.

Last Saturday the branch we're sentenced to took a bus tour. I won't go in to details. (It was boring.) This is the ceiling of the bus. Classy!

Three ... or w.

I love my camera.

Oh, and Jeremy.

This is at our new place. Jeremy is sitting on a couch we got for free. Love free stuff!

Late Funny Thing

Barbie Crime Scene

I'm going to need more little yellow tape.

Oh, look, I can fit this week's theme and make it that much more dramatic at the same time!

Oooooooooo, aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!

Black and White

I think the color one looks better though.

Circles in the office.

I walked around the campus where I work and found some fun circles. Behold:

Detail of art in a lounge.

A vent cover in one of the older buildings. Amazing how much work went into just this little piece of the building.

A wall separating the walkway from the patient cafeteria. The wall goes about forty feet. Part of it slides open for day time and then they close it at night to lock up.

I don't work at the Salt Flats but I didn't want to create an entire new post for just this one pic. I've always loved The Tree. In 4th grade Jenny Reimann gave me and the rest of the class the same kind of green rock used on the tree. Her uncle had worked on it. I still have the rock, wrapped in paper towel, marked 'precious', and in a box. I am a nerd.

Aubrey

Black, white and not much else.

Here is a little bit of the black and white I have so far. More to come....hopefully.

I'm late to the feet party.

Here are a buncha feet pics.

These are the worst hiking shoes ever. My ward went on this hike that was promised to be ok for beginners. Liars. The first fifteen minutes of the four hour torture session I wanted to die. Also, the people passing us because they were on their way back who told us "Almost there!" were liars and if I had energy I would have tracked them down and beaten them with my worst hiking shoes ever. (It was either these shoes or church shoes. I didn't have any other casual shoes.)

Clockwise from top left: Tiffany, Wendy, Jessie. We painted our toenails at our last sleep over before Wendy went on her mission. Wendy is wearing I'm Not Really a Waitress and I am wearing Chick Flick Cherry. Tiff went with, I believe, I'm Not Really a Waitress.

Wendy (left) and me (right) at the airport. This is the last picture of us before Wendy flew to England to serve a full-time LDS mission. And I missed her dearly. I still do, only I'm the one who did the leaving this time.

Candice's wedding shoes. That's right, she's so tough she walked around and stood around in these darlings for an entire day. Her dress was amazing as well.

Cami invited me to go with her and her family to Bear Lake for a day a couple summers ago. It was fun. Cami has an amazing family! They are so fun. If you ever get the chance for sure hang out with the Cooks! This is Cami in Bear Lake.

Me in Bear Lake.

One of the first shots I took with the Nikon. I vamped up the reds to make the pink really pretty. I was just learning how to focus.

Black & White

Yay for the colorblind!

And no, Jessie, you cannot use Sepia. Not the same.

Feet in the summer

This is my sister and me at Venice Beach. I'd gone to LA to visit her for a long weekend. I'd just broken up with a boy and she was so nice to let me mope there. I was not 100% fun but she didn't complain once. She's a really great sister. And hilarious. I'm on the left, she's at the top.

Back in the day I used to win stuff all the time. I've won CDs, a bike, tickets to Disneyland, movie passes, and tons of concert tickets. This is from when Hot Jared and I went to the Ben Harper concert back in 2006 or 2007. Hot Jared is amazingly good looking and never ever takes off his shoes. I've known him since 1987 and I've seen his toes once in my life.
