The end of their time.

This photo was taken from inside the catacombs in Salzburg last summer. :)

Looking Through...the ages

My Grandma Jean past away in March. Last Saturday we started going through some of her things and picking out pieces that were of value to us that we could keep. In all of the stuff she had collected throughout her life I found many treasures but two of my favorites were her mothers book of mormon and her book of mormon. So my entry this week is looking through the ages. It is a look at past, present, and future (great grandma, grandma, me, and my daughter) and the strings of the gospel that attach us together. I get to learn from their lives and hopefully pass that same knowledge on to my children.

And then I ate till it hurt.

I visited Salt Lake last October. While I was there my favorite family went to dinner at The Roof. I'd never been. In case you didn't know (like I didn't know) it's a buffet, but super classy. (Till Candice and I got there and did a smashing rendition of Tommy the Tomato.) Anyhow, while we were waiting to be seated I got this shot of the Salt Lake Temple through a picture window.

I don't know what this is...

For real. I was just wandering around and thought it looked cool. There was an outdoor cafe there too and all of them were looking at us like we were darned fools. Meh, I got a cool shot out of it.

I made this.

Not the best pic, it's tough to read the name of the jelly. My friend Finny and I made this one General Conference Saturday. If you're interested in a fun afternoon make grape jelly with Finny.

Divinity in a box.

Every October my friends and I get a Square Pumpkin from Arctic Circle. They have really great prizes. Oh, and we usually opt for a pumpkin pie shake in lieu of a soda. Carbonation is bad for you. This picture is of Jeremy and his first Square Pumpkin. I kept his prize.

Pierogies

They were frozen and I like to thaw them for a bit before cooking them. Have you ever had them? I highly suggest you try some, if you haven't. Your stomach will love you.

Austrian Strudel

That yellowy stuff is a warm vanilla sauce, kind of like warm pudding. It was very delicious.

Before and after.

In October of 2007 Jeremy took me to Disneyland for his autumn break. We had lunch at ESPN Zone. This was our dessert. We wisely ordered it first. (A tip from Wendy.)

Theme, a little late. It was a rough begining of the week.

This week's theme is food.

Purple

"Weed" is subjective.
