Honk, honk, beep, beep.

Theme for this week:

Transportation.

Thursday, December 17, 2009

I don't do it on purpose.

I forgot to post a theme (again) on Monday. As I haven't left the house to do any bokeh for Allyson let's leave the theme be for another week.

Christmas light bokeh

Tip: if you use a point and shoot, try the macro setting and focus on something quite close with lights behind. It takes a few tries, but is fun once you get it!

New Theme!

Tis the season for sparkly lights. Thus, I thought it could be fun to see if we could get some good photos.

The theme: Bokeh

Click on this link to read a tutorial and explanation on bokeh. It's purty!

Fluffy and beautiful.

My hubby, Jeremy, made real mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving. Aren't they pretty?

Because, you know, of all that Thanksgiving stuff.

A very late theme.

I'm sorry. My brain is fried. I miss it.

The theme for this week:

Self portrait.

Have fun with it.

Theme!

Theme for the week:

Broken

Things are looking kinda sparce around here. Where is everyone? :(

This is Halloween! This is Halloween!

I have that stupid song running through my head. Sorry.

Again, the downstairs neighbor decorated out of the box (meaning, she expanded beyond her own apartment). This is just a fraction of what she had put up.

Creepy!

Alone

I am going to use this pic for the "alone" theme because...well, he is alone.

My downstairs neighbor put him on top of the mailboxes. Every single time I come down the stairs, I almost scream with fright.

Happy Halloween Week!

The theme for this week is "spooky".

Are you scared yet?

Those one pictures

That's me, one week and one day past due. Turns out it's tough to get a good shot of my belly without using a mirror.

Monday, October 19, 2009

One is the loneliest number.

Theme for this week:

alone

Now, dazzle us!

A little H2O

Why am I always late with the theme?

Grr.

Sorry, guys.

The theme for this week is water.

Late toys.

My bear I got from Build a Bear ages ago, my 6.5 pound dog, and my bear I got over twenty years ago. Three toys in one shot. Not bad.

The language of signs.

I'm not sure what they're trying to communicate here but I like it! This is just before the exit to the Mall of America (where the clothes flow like unto wine).

A sign in the style of CakeWrecks.

Saturday, October 10, 2009

I think it's a sign! You don't believe in signs!

(name that movie)

I went up to my old stomping ground, Logan, today and there were a plethora of signs. Behold!

Awesome sandwiches and next door to the Hastings where I would sell my CDs so I could buy food. hee hee

No one really needs the "recycle" part anyway.

Superhero Day = pure awesomeness

This never stopped me from sledding down the hill in a laundry basket.

The student center.

Awww, yeah!

Jessie, this photo is for you. Does it still count if I didn't take it? I was driving my car! (I know that is not a valid excuse as I have taken photos whilst driving in the past.)

They are very excited about this. However, if you drive about 30 miles north, you can buy what I always heard as "better beer" up in Idaho.

And again...late.

But it is orange!

Please disregard the fact that it is similar to the previous picture I used for "motion". (:

Late Motion

Pure happenstance. Nevermind the fact I was also driving the car when I took this. Overlook that, will you?

Late motion

This is one of the first pictures I took with my new camera. It's Jeremy at our hotel in Chicago. We were there in March for our first anniversary. I had no idea how to work the camera but this proved to be quite entertaining.

A sign of the times

This week the theme is

SIGNS

only not yelled. Just wanted to make it look important.

Rhymes with Orange

Theme

We are really slacking here, aren't we?

The new theme for this week is: Orange.

Enjoy!

Another late addition

This is a very typical scene in my home.

1. A puzzle that is not completed. It has been there over a month now.
2. Workout exercises.
3. Three, yes, count 'em, THREE remote controls. I think my parents have 5 or more, so I don't feel too bad.
4. The ever-present cell phone.
5. Uh, the towel was left over from when I nuked something in the microwave and the bowl was too hot to carry. Oh, it was the Chocolate Pudding Cake. That was good stuff.
5. Water bottle. It is there to remind me that I should drink more water. Doesn't always happen. Water is gross.

Late Toys

I'll put them in the same post. I don't have a lot of toys hanging around my apartment. I did find these gems.

The Sega Dreamcast. Given to me for my birthday last year. I have one game, Metropolis Street Racer. Yes, it rules.

I won this in some crazy game my sister cooked up last Christmas. I remember that it involved a huge tub of presents, dice, fuzzy hat, and mittens. Oh, and lots and lots of screaming and excitement.

Theme

Farewell to summer and hello to autumn and hoodies! That has nothing to do with the theme for this week but I do so love hoodie weather.

The theme for this week is motion.

Let's get to know each other!

Sorry the theme is so late this week. Blame yo mamma.

Totally joking.

The theme for this week is "scenes from my life".

Enjoy!

Labor Day Theme

Not that it's related to Labor Day. Sorry if you were expecting something clever.

The theme for this week is:

toys.

Yay!!

Reflections around town

Detail of the above shot.

If you look close you can see Jeremy, the two buildings from the previous shots, and me in Jeremy's newly replated ring.

Bridge

My friend thought I was so weird for being excited that the bridge was reflecting in the water. haha.
